a postcard that sums me up pretty well
11 (mostly cos I KNOW your music taste is 100% awesome)
(thank you thank you *winks*) yes i do listen to music when i draw!!! recently i’ve been listening to lost of babyshambles, the specials, fidlar, the kooks, the clash, THE GREASE SOUNDTRACK (the grease sound track a lot actually, it’s my fave) and i got libertines vinyl that has loads of odd recordings on it, that;s pretty great. music is great and drawing is great!
do i have any oc’s ? no not really! i mean, sometimes i draw people who i think up stories for, and i definitely have mental characters, but i don’t intentionally draw them or right about them. maybe i should…

15. Any weird artist behaviour you admit doing?
the past two days have been really good!!! I got a conditional offer at my dream college (which is really lovely and is in a beautiful area!) my cousin showed her teacher our book and she loved it and showed all the other teachers! the art teachers said nice things about me and my coursework book!! I’ve been doing lots of dancing/head banging to fidlar, have watched lots of seinfeld and have been getting super excited for babyshambles on Monday!! ooo and today i bought a wheres wally bookmark from the library for 10p!!!score!!!
here is a suspiciously satisfactory first sketchbook page and on it you can see
the date, a duck, totoro, some babes, me, my cousin, floral tape, a tiny face, a tiny mouth, a leek, a rocker, a hand and some fashion.
me and my cousin have been working on this book for a while now but it’s finally finished! it’s a collaboration of her poems and my drawings ! i’ve been sneakily printing copies of them at school and she’s been spreading the word, we think we’ve found someone who can print in bulk!
it’s supposed to be a gif but it’s not working!!!
this weekend has been full of change but no actual progress… (I re did my posters and refurbished my blog. big change ye)
The other week I finally got the chance to bring home/take pictures of my mock final pieces! (I had to give them back again though). The project was ‘the body’ and ‘street art’, we had to incorporate inspirations from the two topics as well as reference at least one artist from each. The artists i referenced were Jamal Vrno (love love love his work) and the street artist ‘Ever’ (i’ll happily talk about them and/or my pieces if anyone cares/asks). They’re posted in the order i did them in which is-funnily enough-the order from favourite to least favourite (they look like they’re different sizes but they’re not, it’s just my bad camera skills)
The people and the patterns weren’t part of either of the projects, it was simply my preference, i used so many patterns and colours because i wanted to and drew girls because i wanted to, also because i wanted it to be fitting for my ‘style’ or whatever. maybe it was just about my preference and enjoyment.
I’m listening to bad reputation and feelin fierce but then I remember that I’m listening to the shrek soundtrack and the fierce turns into joy with a hint of shame
furious at the inconsistency of this book but am determined to document my journey to what will hopefully one day be a consistently good/aesthetically pleasing sketchbook
